Simulation & Modeling
In a simple world, using the simulation and modeling in process of teaching and learning is the most efficient way to learn something. This is because when we cannot imagine of it, it could be visualized through the simulation. By the help of modeling, we could see what will happen when we change a variable in a process. As for my group, we use the simulation of breathing mechanism and the modeling of osmosis.

Experiencing the data logger (PASCO)
Hye!
Have you ever used data logger in your life? What do you feel when you use it? Awesome! Recently I had experienced of using data logger (brand PASCO). When used it, I could not deny that technology helped us a lot in making our life simple. We can see the application of it mostly in laboratory when conducting an experiment regarding to the humidity, pH, pressure, force and etc.
The best when using data logger:
- It help us collected the data faster than ever. Thus, we could save a lot of time.
- The set-up is easier for us to follow. What we only have to do is clicking and clicking again. First click for the experiment to run and start collecting the data while the second click is to stop the experiment.
- It is easy to do edition in order to have the best result and a smooth line of graph.
- When I plotted a linear graph or any other graph, I could easily find the means and gradient of the graph. No calculation needed.
But, when there are pros, there also have the contras:
- By having a limited item of data logger, the idea also became limited. Mostly when we had a specification on certain subject such as Biology. As we only provided with the force, motion and temperature/Absolute pressure sensor, the idea to create an experiment that could used two types of data logger became less.
- If we want to use data logger, we have to really know the item so it could make our work easier during the set up of the experiment.
- The software also need to be downloaded first if we want to do it at home.
In a nutshell, in certain things data logger could help a lot. There are the uses of knowledge and experiences.
The New Thing I Learned by Using IWB
You can touch it, you can feel attracted towards it, you can even explore it and so many thing that you can do with it. That is Interactive White Board (IWB). Specifically, IWB means a larger interactive display that connects to a computer and projector. A projector projects the computer's desktop onto the board's surface where users control the computer using a pen, finger, stylus or other device. The board is typically mounted to a wall or floor stand.
First time I used it, I felt excited but a little bit of worry since I am not so sure either I could use it better or not. Positively, I think that IWB could help by making the presentation more inviting and attractive. It also allow the audience to take part in the presentation by providing activity that needed audiences to take part. Besides, it also provides a lot of lesson toolkit that could help us to make the presentation more enjoyed.
My Teaching Philosophy
Teaching is not only a profession, but it also required a passion that could make us more excited to explore the world of knowledge. To love teaching, we have to love knowledge. As for that, I believed that KNOWLEDGE IS NEVER A WASTE. Whatever that we learned in life are knowledge either we learned it formally or informally. When the word 'teaching' came into the mind, those terms always play around
